    Hi, I’m using a pop up triggered by clicking “Contact Us” link in the footer of the page.
    But I also need to be able to give people a link externally that would bring them to my website and trigger a pop-up at the same time. Let’s say I send a person a link webiste.com/contact-us and by clicking it it should load my website and automatically trigger a pop up. I tried to use a link that PopUp Maker generates – something like website.com/#popmake-1473 but it doesn’t trigger anything, my website just loads up and no popup appears.

    Is there any way to achieve that with you plugin?

    Thank you!

  • Hello @stmalk:

    I would like to recommend the following approach:

    1) Purchase a license for the Advanced Targeting Conditions plugin extension and activate.

    2) Create a new popup (popup-1). Pass in the contact form shortcode to the popup content editor.

    3) For popup-1: To load the popup from any location within the site, do not set Conditions for this popup. The popup will then be active on every page, post, and from any template served up on the site (including the footer).

    4) For popup-1: Select ‘Add New Trigger’. Select ‘Click Open’, and target the containing HTML around the ‘Contact Us’ link in the footer. Add this target HTML to the ‘Extra CSS Selectors’ input field of the ‘Click Open’ trigger. When anyone clicks on the HTML page element(s) you defined in your trigger, the popup will open.

    5) Create popup-2 using the Advanced Conditions extension feature.

    6) For popup-2: Set ‘Conditions’: Select ‘URL is’ or ‘URL contains’ to specify the target URL contents you want to bring into your popup. In this case, it would be the ‘Contact Us’ page URL (that contains your form shortcode).

    7) For popup-2: Select ‘Add New Trigger’. Select ‘Auto Open’. You can set a time delay between 0 – 10 seconds

    8) Popups-1 & -2: Generate an ‘On Popup Close’ cookie & a contact form submit success cookie for both popups (either CF7, NF, GF, or manual javascript depending on the form plugin you are using).

    With this approach, you can provide users a URL link to the ‘Contact Us’ form on your website. That link will then open the ‘Contact Us’ form in a popup when your site loads in the browser.

    ================================================================================

    If this information helps you to resolve your problem, would you kindly give us a 5-star rating and post a review on our plugin page? Thanks for telling others about us and helping to spread the word about the Popup Maker plugin.

    @yogaman5020 This method looks like crutches. Why just to add the trigger “onload” if the link contains the popup ID?!
