    Hi!

I just found out about the incorrect password alert message on the login screen. I tried to translate it via Loco Translate, but couldn’t find the string. Also tried locating it in the plugin files, but without successes.

Could you please help me translate this string?

“ERROR: The username or password you entered is incorrect. Lost your password?”

    Thanks!

    Hello @marianssen,

The warning comes from the following file
    \wp-includes\user.php

If you change site language from WordPress settings > general you should see the warning already translated.

    Hi @munayam ,

I thought this would rather be a wordpress built in message. I’m actually using EP in the czech language (I just double checked the admin to be sure), but this message does not get translated. What could be the issue? Other strings on the website are translated correctly.

    Hello @marianssen,

Yes it’s a WordPress built-in message. If you are using any user role editing plugin you can temporarily disable them to see if the issue gets resolved. Remember to change site language from WordPress settings > general.
