How to translate default frontend messages ?

    Hi,
    how do you translate default messages such as

    Notify me when new comments are added.

    or

    Your subscription has been removed. You’ll be redirect to the home page within few seconds.

    I have translated the strings via a .po file, but I still see them in english in frontend (my default site language is italian)

    I see that this kind of strings are present in backedn and can be customized manually, but I wonder if I can translate them via a .po file since they are already in the .pot file provided with the plugin.
