I am currently using RSS Multi-Importer to import summaries/excerpts of posts from other blogs (pending my approval) as posts in my site using the feed-to-post option. These posts include links to the full post on the original site. I also intend to write some posts myself. I would like to have a way to measure popularity of posts by click-throughs from a summary to the full article, and export an rss feed with the post summaries sorted in descending order by popularity. I need this feed for automatic enewsletter campaigns using Mailchimp. I am aware that RSS Multi-Importer has an RSS export option. However, I need to know how to get it, or another plugin, to export a feed with the post summaries in the order of most popular.
If this is not possible, I would consider options that would sort posts by number of votes using WP Voting or another plugin that allows unregistered users to vote. My concern with this, however, is that it depends on the reader to vote, and, in most cases, they will be leaving the site to read the post. It’s better than nothing though. I would also consider some html that I could post in an email to display the current most popular or highest-voted posts.
