Support » Plugin: Five Star Restaurant Reservations - WordPress Booking Plugin » How to track event/click with the “five star restaurant reservation” plugin?

    Hi bente,

There is no built-in way to track how often the booking form has been submitted.

I’m not sure what is going on, or what you mean, with the submit button not showing on your booking form page. Would you be able to provide a link to that booking page, so we can see what you mean?

    Thank you

    Hi, thank you fo replying!

The submit button is not showing on the booking form page when im editing it. It does show when you are visiting the booking page as a customer.

Also I can only see and edit the form when im in the plugin settings, not in the editing booking page. Therefor I could not find the submit button.

Are you, by chance, using some kind of visual composer or page builder? If so, which one? And are you using the shortcode or Gutenberg block to add the booking form to your page?

Either way, I can’t tell exactly what it is you’re trying and unable to do. There are not too many things that can be changed with the submit button, so could you please clarify what you want to modify?

    Hi,
Im sorry that everything may be very confusing to you!

Unfortunatelly, i’m not the builder/creator of this website so I don’t know if the site works with using a visual composer or page builder. I also don’t know if a shortcode or Guterberg block is used to add the booking form to the page. I think the Gutenberg block is used, because when in editing the page, and I look at the place where the booking form is shown on the reservation page, I see: “Start writing or type / to choose a block”. In addition, I don’t think that I see a shortcode on the place where it should be placed.

I hope that this gives you a little more information about the situation. The goal that I would like to achieve is to track the conversion, the amount of reservations made on the website.

    Thankyou!

    Thank you for clarifying that.

When a booking is made, the action “rtb_insert_booking” gets called. You could potentially hook into that to track conversions. The booking object is also passed to whatever function is called using that hook. Whether or not using that action is an option for you depends on your comfort level with programming in PHP.

For your page edit screen, that sounds like maybe you just haven’t added the block (correctly). You’ll need to figure out how your booking form is being added to the page in order for you and us to know what might be going on.
