How to Text Overlay on Featured Images (Twenty Seventeen)

    Hi all – I am trying to add text overlay on the featured image (theme – twenty seventeen) but I am not successful. I tried several things after researching over the internet as well as on this forum. I am fairly new to the WordPress. Please help me out.

    what text?
    where do you want to get the text from?
    are you possibly thinking of the image caption?

    yes. I would like to add text something like a caption. It would be like the title of that particular page.
