How to test send email

    I have a email plugin on my site. It notifies users on new comments made. It sends email but it doesn-t.

    So how can i test email function from my local installed wordpress?

    Thanks @gappiah i got this error. What can i do to fix it? ITs local installed wordpress.

    The email was not sent. WordPress provided this reason: Could not instantiate mail function.

    So how can i test email function from my local installed wordpress?

    WordPress needs something on the server to deliver the mails.

    Do you actually have a MAIL SERVER software installed and properly configured on your local computer (where you’re running the WordPress from) to send the mails?

    If not, you may want to use an SMTP plugin to connect to an external SMTP provider to deliver the mails.
