    Hi Folks,

Is there a way I can programmatically test to see if an open graph image has been set for a post?

    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Hey @srd75,

There is no way with Yoast SEO, but you might want to use a scraper such a Screaming Frog which can check for not only open graph images, but for titles, meta descriptions and more.

    Hi @jeroenrotty,

I was hoping for a programmatic way to do so from within WP, so I could set a fallback OG image.

You can set a default fallback OpenGraph image by going to SEO → Social → Facebook (tab) → Default image.

PS: This is the default image for any post/image that has no featured image and no image in the post content.
