How to switch permalinks without "Permalink 404 issue" ?

    Hi All,

    I’m facing “500 internal server error”, I’m lost if its the hosting server or some issue in wordpress code. I’m trying everything I can.

    Please can some explain to me how can I restore the default WP permalinks without the “Permalink 404 page not found issue”,

    I’m currently using the custom structure: /%category%/%postname%/
    but because of performance issue I tried to switch back to the
    default: http://www.bananaq8.com/?p=123

    but problem is when I restore the default permalink the About, Share and Contact pages give me “404 page not found” message when I browse them.

    Any help is high appreciated.
