Thanks. Now I have my sitemap submitted.

However, I still don’t see where the option is in Google to “Add a Meta Tag to your sites homepage” option.

Here’s what I see. What am I overlooking?

This page from Google states that I can add a meta tag using Google Apps, however I was unsure if the meta tag provided through Google Apps was the same as what I’d get from within the Webmaster Tools area (if that’s still possible) or not.

If you’re able to submit a sitemap, that means you already verified the site.
Usually, site verification is done when submitting a new site.

So are you saying it’s not necessary for me to add a meta tag to my homepage?

    Thanks for your help.

If you were able to submit the sitemap then you’ve indeed already verified the site and do not need to add the metatag.
