  • Hi!
    2 days ago, I submitted a plugin to WordPress. A feature that I’ve developped a couple of months ago and using it on a live Web site for a month now.

    I just want to know the delay for getting an answer (the approval of the plugin I submitted) but I don’t find any email or phone number to contact someone at WordPress.

    Not very helpful huh? Each plugin is vetted by a human, and I believe there is just one person doing this, so it could take some time.

    I don’t think it should take more than a week to get approval, but you can toss out Saturday and Sunday, so give it a few more days 🙂

    Here’s an example of a post a member did with a link to, my plugin did the request to the site and presented a fancy box:

    I’m only supporting and right now but I’m working on others sources for the next update.

    And also I will add other sources that are not video but only news, blog, and other kind of links.


    It looks like a pretty cool plugin Dom, I’ll have to check it out when it is released.

    I just submitted the request to submit the plugin. In other words,I haven’t even been given access to the Subversion Repository so I can submit my first plugin. How long should this take? Thanks for your help.

    I submitted the plugin request twice for the last 15 days. After 5-6 days of each submission it just disappeared from my profile. No notification from WordPress yet.


    I got the same treatment from WordPress Team… I’ve submitted my plugin, wait for a couple of days, and then it disappeared from my profile with no answer, explanation or anything else… Is this OK? I mean, OK, there are a lot of plugins to approve, but…. come on? No answer? at least a automated answer “we did not approve your plugin cause its bull sh**” or something… A little cooperation Wp team ?!

    I’ve submitted the Official plugin 3 times now without any reason for the denial. So you’re not the only ones being brushed off here. It looks as if WordPress has a new policy of implying to its community “I could really care less about your plugin or your general feelings on the matter, and really we don’t need you at all”, go figure.

    Also, I’ve emailed support multiple times without a single response, pretty sad to say the least.
