    Hi,

Since the last update, every time I go to a page, I have to close a spam window that says:

“Exciting news! Widget Options is now a Gutenberg Block-Enabled plugin.”Exciting news! Widget Options is now a Gutenberg Block-Enabled plugin.

Explore the Gutenberg Widget Options in the Block Widget Editor and Posts/Pages Block for an elevated experience!

    Learn More

It’s really unpleasant, and there’s no solution other than deleting the plugin to stop it.

So I’d like to know how to stop it?

    Thanks

  • Why do you think this has anything to do with the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin? All the info you provided relates to something completely separate.

@lamington: You’re one train too late!

There have been several complaints like mine and they’ve removed it with an update few days ago, so all’s well!

Last time it was WP Bakery that started using this stupid option for several days and when, like me, you publish several articles a day and you’re often working on your site, it’s very annoying to have to close a window every time, people like you and them who didn’t work seriously on WordPress don’t realize!

It’s for this and many other reasons that I’m impatiently waiting for Classicpress to become more serious, to get away from WordPress which is becoming too commercial and full of useless updates that slow down the machine.

@pierreto It looks like @lamington is correct.

You’re quoting a notice from a plugin called Widget Options and complaining about it under the support forum for the WP Shortcodes plugin.

You are right about the update a few days ago though, the release notes for Widget Options 4.0.5.1 mentions:

    • Fixed: Notification about the new features
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-options/#developers

You can find their support forum at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/widget-options/

Also, WordPress itself has nothing to do with the Widget Options plugin or the bug that was in its code.

Assuming ClassicPress supports Widget Options, you’d have the same problem over there.

    Hello James,

Yes, I just realized the mistake, sorry! 🙂
