How to stop spam on contact form

    Hi,

    I was using the Jetpack contact form and Akismet, but getting lots of spam. I have now installed WPForms lite with the build in spam protection enabled as well as Akismet spam protection enabled, but still receiving lots of spam.

    I prefer not to use recaptcha as the contact form does not work if recaptcha is unavailable and it makes it harder for my customers to contact us.

    Is there anything else I can do to stop most of the spam?

    Thank you @raytan12 , I will give that a go and disable Akismet. I even tried adding recaptcha invisible, but that did not stop the spam either.

    We released WPForms version 1.8.7.2, and we improved Akismet integration efficiency in this version (screenshot).

    So, you could update WPForms Lite, and give a new try to our integration with Akismet.

    Thank you for getting back to me, but I followed @raytan12 advice as per above and replaced Akismet with WP Armour, this stopped all spam immediately, so I’m not going back to Akismet anymore.
