I have been using this plugin for a few weeks now and when it works it’s great.

I like to schedule posts days/weeks ahead but when I hit schedule they automatically share on LinkedIn and since the post isn’t live yet the link shared takes viewers to a 404 page.

Is there a way to stop sharing when you hit Update or Schedule on a product or post? I only want it to share when it’s set to published.

There doesn’t seem to be anything in settings to stop this.

    Hi @wrightcreationsuk,

What you are describing is not how the plugin should behave when a post is scheduled. I also can’t repeat this on my end.

It sounds like you might have another plugin or maybe even your theme which is doing some kind of publish routine when a post is scheduled. Our plugin hooks into the standard WordPress post publish action to do the share.

What I would recommend is putting a really basic theme on your site like Twenty Sixteen, deactivating all other plugins and try doing a schedule test and see if it publishes straight away. You should find it doesn’t. You can then turn things like your theme and plugins back on and see what might be responsible.

I hope that points you in the right direction. Thanks,
