Support » Fixing WordPress » How to stop registered users sharing logons?

  • I have a site where registered (paid) users can log in and read weekly reports.

But there’s ample evidence that users are sharing log-on details and the reports are being read by many different people.

Ideally I’d like to either put a “number of views per user” limit on specific pages or posts; or perhaps allow each user to logon from one IP location only per day.

I’ve searched for days for plugs or solutions along these lines, but come up with nothing. I’d be very grateful for any suggestions 🙂

  • Downsouth,

I don’t believe it is possible to prevent users from sharing login information. This would be the case with any password site.

But if I could just restrict the number of times they viewed a page or post then it wouldn’t matter if they shared the login.

OK, for anyone else searching as I did, there seem to be three options so far:

    PieRegister (free)
    MemberWing ($$)
    Wishlist ($$)
