When people click on my Twitter icon, it does nothing: they have to choose from the hover selections, which is exactly how I want it to work.
But when they click on my Facebook or LinkedIn icons, it takes them to those pages. Most people are used to just clicking icons immediately, so they won’t even see the hover options.
How do I get the Facebook and LinkedIn icons to behave like the Twitter icon?

Thank you for your question. What’s your website URL so that we can see?

Sorry: I should have included that. https://revitalization.org

Ok thank you, we’ll check with the developers next week. I don’t think it’s a big issue though, as the tooltip appears so quickly, nobody will miss those options. But we’ll check.

Thanks, Nick. I think you might be underestimating the power and speed of muscle memory. I share articles from that website to social media daily, and I constantly find myself click the icon before the tooltips appear…and I know how they are supposed to work. Users who used to normal share buttons will probably have a worse problem with them.

We will include the fix for this in the next version of the plugin.

Glad to hear it, Alex, because it’s the worst part of your plugin. I’m constantly clicking the Facebook button instead of the tooltips, which wastes time.
