[Resolved] How to stop different category posts getting on front default page?

  • Hi, I am using 2.0.3 with the Blix theme. I have created two categories, and one is set as the default for my front page. However, when I post to the second category, the post also shows up in my front page; is there anyway to stop this?
My default category is called ‘Political Correctness’ and I just want that content displayed on my front page.

The second category is called ‘Daily Polical Correctness News’ and I want visitors to click the link to see that category’s content.

    My website is here http://www.friedbrains.com

    Hope someone can help

    Regards Tezzer

  • Have a look at the Category Visibility plugin: http://ryowebsite.com/?p=46

Handy, I went there and downloaded ‘4.0 DownloadBeta5’ and then followed the instructions and it made a mess of everything. I unzipped it and uploaded it to Plugins and then activated the plugin. And everything in ‘Manage’ turned out a mess, and my front page was gone??

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

If you’re not running 2.1 (I believe you said you’re on 2.0.3?) you don’t want the beta version of the plugin. Scroll down a bit on that page to find the non-beta version.

(and consider upgrading your blog to 2.1 or 2.0.8 soon!).

    Thanks Handy, that worked
