How to start?

    You lost me at the beginning. I’ve downloaded and installed the plugin. The beginning step is:

    1. Click Add new to create your first modal window – Where is this “Add New” option?

    I also don’t see any settings for this plug in. The only selection I have below “Modal Window” in the plugin section is “Deactivate”.

    So sorry to hear that.

    Activate the plugin.
    On the Plugin page neaer the name plugin ‘Modal Window’, click the link ‘Settings’
    On the admin plugin page, click ‘Add new’
    Create the Modal window and click save

    I wish there were a way to upload a screenshot. No such “settings” link appears. Only “Deactivate”. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, and updated as well. There is no “Settings” option.

    WP Version is 5.1.1, with nothing terribly unusual installed. WP Installation is on a standalone dev server with DigitalOcean, therefore no hosting limitations should apply.

    Sorry, please update the plugin to version 4.0.3 and you find the link to the Settings when you activate the plugin, under the plugin name

    Did that and it didn’t work. What *did* work: I gave up and installed a different plugin — Modal Popup Box. So THAT plugin only had the “Deactivate” link and nothing else, then the settings link showed on your plugin. I have no idea why this is taking place, but maybe this information will help you and others.
