How to speed up my website? increase page load time?

    Hello, All

    I used both w3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache. WP super cache slowed my pageload about 4 seconds and W3 Total cache was blocking my DISQUS(it was loading so slow).

    Now, I don’t have any cache plugin and site loads 6-8seconds. When i was using w3 it was about same. My website consists mostly photos.Thefore, I minimized my photos’ sized best I could.
    Things I have:
    3 adsense, home page=2.5mb , portfolio page 7MB.
    Hosting: hostgator. I believe that hostgator having many issues lately.
    What is the fastest and safest hosting company?
    Google insight rank: mobile 40 out of 100, desktop 48 out of 100

    I use pingdom.tools and google page insight

    I got following errors in google

    Enable compression
    Leverage browser caching
    Eliminate external render-blocking Javascript and CSS in above-the-fold content
    Optimize images
    Reduce server response time to under 200ms
    Minify JavaScript

    I highly believe that most of you have better experience than me and help me to resolve these.
