  • Hello there everyone 🙂

I’d like to know if it’s possible to create site-wide galeries (with categories or sections) and per-post galeries (which automatically appear in the site-wide gallery on a specified cat/section), or if there is a plugin which does that.

Any help would be kindly appreciated,

    Thanks in advance

  • Bump 🙂

I’m trying to figure out the same thing myself – namely how to build an images section for my site that will allow users to browse images by tag or category. Seems like it should be possible.

One method could be using attachment template tags. Another might be to create create a custom post type called image – then use template tags to display those. That’s as far as I’ve gotten. I’ll post again if I figure something out.

In my case i have a gaming website, with the custom post type ‘game’ and each news for that specific game would need to have a per-post gallery (associated somehow to the game), so that it could be listed on a galerry with all those specific game images in one place.

    I think i’m being a little confusing…

Anyways, I don’t know about the attachment template tags but with the custom post type solution i’m not sure if it would actually “associate” the gallery with the post.
I’m still searching, any new findings and i’ll report here 🙂
