    Hello!

I'm very new and am just setting up my forum here. I'm noticing that wp is posting the entire posts which is great except in the case of a long post. Does anyone know how I might either be able to alter how much of a post is visible on the front end (as in viewer needs to click to read the rest of the post after seeing a the first bit on front page), or perhaps "back to the top" type buttons?

If you'd like to see my forum it's at:

    Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Many thanks!

Try using the <!-more--> tag in your posts (that's the button in the Visual Editor that looks like two pages separated by a dotted line) where you want the post display to finish.

This Codex page might give you a little more insight into how the tag works
