Support » Installing WordPress » How to set up WP w/o access to Cpanel or PhpMyAdmin

  • I have a non-traditional host to work with. He has no Cpanel or PhpMyAdmin for me to use to install the database. He says he can create it if I give him “the sql file with the schema and initial values.” How do I do this? Many thanks!

  • WordPress builds its own database when you install it. Which, of course, means that you need a database. So, there is no SQL file.

But there is an easy answer. Get “He” to create an empty MySQL database and MySQL User ID with full access to that database. WordPress will do the rest with its install.php program. You will need to know the database name, MySQL user ID, password and host name (often localhost) to use to access the database.

Yes you can acccess your website (WordPress website) through the local machine. but you have to install and configure in your system(Laptop or Desktop) through the WempServer.

Here giving step by step guide of [link moderated – please link to resources on wordpress.org].

Wemp server is giving option to manage your website in PhpMyAdmin.
