    The archive is rendered by your theme. You could create a custom archive-encyclopedia.php without any graphics in your child theme.

    Btw: The screenshot was created with the Twenty Seventeen default WordPress theme. You can find its archive template here.

    Another difficulty I am having has to do with the Recent Entries widget. When I am am viewing a particular entry, the Recent Entries list shows the entries each twice, although there is only one page for each. Is this due to an error that I made along the way?

    I am planning on purchasing the full version this week, but am trying to work out a couple bugs for myself first, so I really appreciate your help with troubleshooting.

    You added the “Related Items” widget (without title) below the “Recent Entries” widget which becomes visible in the single view only.

    Pro Tip: Add widget titles to all your widgets. 😉
