[resolved] How to set a "contact" person for each event? (4 posts)

    I am trying to set an individual Contact for each separate event so that person can be emailed for everyone that books in "their" event. It seems this is best accomplished by setting the attribute #_CONTACTNAME and #_CONTACTEMAIL. However, I can't figure out how to add the "placeholder" or simply make this an option for each event we create.

    Has anyone figured out how to do this and then how to set it so that this person is emailed for every booking?

    Hi Tim,

    The placeholder can be used anywhere you need to show that information - in page (by using Events > Settings > Formatting) or in email templates.

    As for setting the info, how are the events being added? In WP admin or via a front-end form for user submissions?

    I am using WP admin. I was able to create a placeholder with the #_ATT{key} feature and it let me add a name and email address to an event. The problem I have now is that it automatically emails the event owner/creator and not the person from that attribute. I'm concerned that this won't be possible without some real code editing.

    Any ideas how to tell EM to send the email to #_ATT{leader name} rather than #_CONTACTEMAIL (which by default is the person logged in to WP adding the event)?
