would be THE BEST WAY to enable WordPress Admins to utilize/manage the content created via Events Manager within WordPress. IMHO.

I tried this one and seems to be working, just to narrow down the problem and help us debug the issue is it possible to try the following temporarily:
– deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
– switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems
Are you saying that YOU have been able to get the events content to show up in the DEFAULT search of WordPress (not the Events search)?
Also, are you saying that you have been able to get the events posts to show up within the WordPress main Dashboard somehow?
With the setting you mentioned, events should be visible in front-end searches that use the built-in WordPress searches.
Events can browsed and searched under Events > Events in admin – the setting above has no impact on this feature.
Please define “built-in WordPress searches”.
Are you speaking of the shortcode [event_search_form] or similar?
If so, this does not help. By “Default WordPress Search”, I am speaking of the standard search available within WordPress BEFORE adding Events Manager.
As for events “searched under Events > Events in admin”, this involves constantly “diving” into the admin areas instead of it showing on the Main Dashboard like so many other tools now do (ex: Google Analytics, Posts, WordPress News, etc.).
If someone is using your plugin as the primary publishing of “posts” (e.g. events), it would be EXTREMELY NICE to have those show on the main dashboard similar to Posts (default). IMHO.
I should have checked the plug-ins and theme first off. I ended up finding out that when I shut off all of the plugins and switched the theme back to a default theme that the search worked – meaning it could pull up Event Manager content. As soon as I went back to my new theme it stopped working – so not plugin related but theme related somehow.
I have sent an email into the creator of the theme we installed. If anyone has any ideas on what the theme creator or I might be able to do to resolve this I would love to hear it. It would be nice to have this feature working.

@brownthigpen I meant the standard WordPress search feature, rather than any searches specifically generated by Events Manager.
By default, WordPress doesn’t show a list of posts on the Dashboard so I’m assuming you have a plugin or there’s a specific feature of your theme creating that list. In that case, try checking the documentation to see if there’s a way to include Events in that list.
