  • Is there any way I can completely secure a WP site with a .htaccess file (its a private site) but still be able to use tools like Live Writer? I can always logging past the .htaccess control, and then login to the admin interface to post an entry, but I wold prefer to keep using tools like Live Writer. Is this even possible? When I try I get the first apache .htacess prompt and then can create an entry, when I go to post I get prompted for the actual sites user name, but it will not accept it.
