how to retroactively update the post parent field

    Hi Folks,

    I would like to update the parent post ID of some existing CPT posts.

    I believe the unique identifier would be {title} – {photourl}.

    How would I go about updating the CPT posts’ parent post ID, please?

    Hi,

    In my CSV, I created a “Parent ID” column with the post_ID of the parent item.

    I then assigned this ID to Post Parent > Set post parent field:

    However, this has not worked.

    Should the Parent be set with the Title of the post, instead?

    Hey @srd75,

    The ID should work fine, but please try using the “Set with XPath” option instead of “Set post parent”.

    Let me know how it goes.
