Support » Plugin: Advanced Access Manager » How to restrict CTP to others than their authors?

  • Hi, I haven’t purchased Plus package, but currently using the trial, so I hope you don’t mind me posting my question also here:

Hello and good day to you 🙂
Using the Plus-Package-Trial I am hoping to setup the following:

Custom Post Type “campaign” – Each campaign should only be made visibel to its Author (who has “contributor” role).

I have problems to adopt the tutorial on https://aamplugin.com/article/wordpress-how-to-limit-authors-to-their-own-content for my use case, due to my lack of english skills and finding the AAC-Dashboard or Menu a bit confusing.

However, I have selected the CPT “campaign” for modification of access levels and activated the following:
    HIDDEN TO OTHERS
    RESTRICTED TO OTHERS
    and saved them.
Then I have used a 2nd browser, logged in my profile-dashboard as one of the contributors, opened the “campaigns” dashboard, but still was able to see posts created by other users.

Anything that I have missed here?

Thank you in advance for your time and effort 🙏
    Sascha

PS: I have also posted in your forum and apologize if cross-posting is not allowed. I haven’t found any rules for this. What forum software are you actually using? It’s very good 🙂
