• Hi there,

I’m using your plugin since a while but after several changes on my website, many mistakes and error remain in the sitemaps sent to GSC.

I’d like to know how can I reset or erase the existing sitemaps (the index, the sitemap tree, etc.) and rebuild another one, clear and optimized.

Have I to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it ?

I wanna do it right !

    Thanks for your answer,

    JR.

I would love a solution for this as well – I had to disable and delete this plugin in trying to locate some errors. After I re-installed it found my current sitemap, which is inaccurate and there is no longer an option for “rebuild”. Why is this link now missing, or am I missing something with the new version?

    +1
There’s an option to notify Google of changes, but when I look at the sitemap file, it was generated 6 weeks ago 🙁
Am I notifying Google of an outdated, incorrect sitemap?

    Hi guys,

I bump this thread because I still didn’t find how to delete a WP sitemap.

It’d be super easy to do it but it’s not.

If the sitemap is broken, it keeps sending 404 to GSC, so it’d be very useful to delete it and rebuild another from scratch.

I use a plugin named “Google XML sitemap”, I can’t use All in One b/c of the conflitcts, I can’t imagine how bad it will be if I install Yoast (conflicts speaking).

So please, a member of the WP team, a dev… give us a trick !

    THANKS

    Hey folks,

    I re-bump my own thread…

I tried to build another sitemap with another plugin. So I dumped google xml sitemap plugin, I used my SEO plugin “All in One SEO” to do the sitemap.

The sitemap is clearly different (structure, include images, etc.) but some strange and old soft 404 errors are still pinging GSC.

It’s better but it’s not the perfect solution… I guess there is a glitch somewhere in the core.
