How to replace the comments section with WP native

    Hi guys,

    First of all, thank you for such amazing theme. Fast and beautiful.

    Now, I wanted to add a privacy checkbox on the comments section, and trying plugins like this one, I see they don’t work because as far as I can see, the comments form by Blocksy is not the same as WordPress’ native.

    So, my question is: how can I use the native one? Or can you tell me how I can add other fields to the comments form? For example, here I can see how to add them using filters, but I can’t manage to do it with Blocksy.

    Hey @sixaxis,
    You don’t need another plugin for this, simply activate the Cookies Notice extension from Blocksy Companion and this field will appear automatically in all comment forms.
    Please see this video.

    Hi, @creativethemeshq,

    Thank you for that, I didn’t know it existed 🙂

    However, for certain countries this is not enough. For example, in my case:

    • I need to store in the database that the user accepted the privacy policy
    • I need to block all cookies unless the user accepts them.

    And I believe I cannot do this with your extension, but correct me if I’m wrong.

    That’s why I was asking how to manually add the checkbox in your comments form.

    Hey @sixaxis,
    Sorry for delay, if you want to modify the comments form file you will have to use a child theme and simply rewrite the comments file.

    Regarding how to add a custom checkbox/field here – we cant’t advice you because we are not offering customization services.

    It would be better to find/hire a developer that could do that custom work for you.
