I wonder how to disable/remove the Blog from a wordpress site?

I’ve been searching for information about this, but so far I haven’t found any help online, I might be using the wrong search term. I don’t know.

  • Am I missing something. Don’t write any posts, or delete all your posts. Just write Pages and set the static front page to a Page via Administration > Settings > Reading.

I mean that on the right side of my site I have a widget displaying Pages. In that widget “Blog” and “About Us” are found. I want to remove those 2 links from that widget.

I’ve already removed the “Blog” and “About Us” from the header, I did that by making changes to the header.php.

But somehow I don’t see how to remove the “Blog” and “About Us” from the Page widget. I’m using the HeatMap theme as I’ve read that it’s optimized for adsense. So maybe there are some code in the HeatMap theme I need to make changes to?

I solved it, I just deleted the “Blog” and “About Us” pages, wonder why I didn’t come up with that before… maybe too much coffee I guess…
