How to remove /wp from URL

SO I make web site and I install WP in sub-directory and made whole site already. And now I have /wp in site URL. When I try change URL in WP admin>settings I cant cuz it’s grey out. I tried everything I find on google and nothing works. So if anyone have any idea how to remove it please tell me. Thanks in advance.

Is this part of a multisite network, or is it a single site installation?

If it’s *not* part of a multisite network, make sure you aren’t forcing the WordPress and Site Addresses via https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Edit_wp-config.php

It’s part of multisite…so that is problem? I already try everything i found but cant solve problem. Can I export my database with all site content the fresh install wp in rootfolder and then upload database? My site wont lose content if I do that?

Yes, if it’s part of a multisite, that is much more complicated.

I recommend re-posting at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite/ so that you can reach the experts in that subject.

We can move the thread there if you really want us to, but starting fresh will catch more attention.

Meanwhile, https://halfelf.org/2012/moving-wordpress-multisite/ might actually be what you’re looking for.
