How to remove the appearance of "Archives" and its list

I want to keep all my posts/archives (and allow viewers to access posts via the Search bar), but I don’t want the defaulted, annoyingly long list of monthly/year archives displayed at the bottom of my blog- I’d like it removed. I scanned the forum but couldn’t find how to do this (hopefully this doesn’t require a lot of coding and/or hassle?).
