Whenever I write something on my site in italics and followed by punctuation, it adds an extra space between the letters and the punctuation. Here’s an example from my site:

Look at the mention of “Silent Hill 2” and “Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem” and how it adds an unnecessary space before the parentheses and period, respectively. As opposed to the previous sentence on my post here, where it looks fine. I checked the HTML and there’s nothing to indicate this extra space, and there’s no way I can see to remove it except not using italics.

Could one of my plug-ins be causing this? I don’t have any that affect the text formatting.

  • Try temporarily switching to the default TwentyFifteen theme to rule out a theme issue.

You can also temporarily disable all your plugins to rule out a plugin issue.

It wasn’t a theme issue, but I tried disabling all of my plugins and it fixed it. So I just need to go through each plugin and find the one causing the problem. Thank you!
