    In some of the pages, for eg, About Us, I disabled ability to comment because well…you don’t need people commenting about “about us”. But with comment disabled, I still see the word “Sorry, comments are closed.” at the bottom of the screen.

    How do I remove this line of words on pages that I disable comments?

  • is it even possible to remove this word, “Sorry, comments are closed.”?

    I am sorry, I thought this is something simple that most veteran wordpress users would have known.

    Nvm, found the solution. Just edit the comments.php file.

    A reference for anyone who might need similar help.

    Thanks abubin, that did help. Now to work out how to remove “Posted by admin | January 1, 2009 | Posted in: Uncategorized | Edit” but only on the static pages. Any ideas?!

    Is this on the default/ classic theme?
    Either way, (i think), you just need to search for elements like:
    <?php the_author() ?>
    <?php the_time() ?>

    etc
