[Resolved] how to remove site title and menu wrap

  • Hello, I’m using the Oxygen theme and I’d like to remove the text wrap that causes my site title to take up two lines (it’s short enough it should be on one line).

    In addition, I’d like to keep the main navigation menu from wrapping. There’s only one item that wraps onto a second line and I know that the theme is wide enough it shouldn’t need to do so (or at least, it didn’t when I was hosting the page on WP.com.)

    Here’s my site: http://alainapincus.com/wamfa2013/

    I’m not particularly fluent in CSS, but I can generally figure it out if I know where to look/what to do. If it turns out I need to be editing in PHP, I might need more help.

    Thanks!

    Does the theme have a custom CSS section? If not, you can add it via a plugins such as Custom CSS Manager (or JetPack if you are already using that). (You shouldn’t modify theme files directly as your changes will be lost when the theme is updated.)

    So try adding this to custom CSS:

    #branding {
        width: 100%;
    }

    #menu-primary li a {
        margin-right: 0.5em;
    }

    That worked perfectly– thanks so much!
