  • Resolved DBJ

    A Long time ago in a galaxy far far away, I have created useful things on a completely DIFFERENT theme. EML PRO was in use even then. I have edited functions.php, footer.php and a such. All was great. I felt emperor of the galaxy. Ah how young and foolish was I. To learn much I needed to.

    Yesterday I changed to a new theme. Just to realise EML PRO has retained those customizations. Namely, I have added project and post categories and tags to media. All working fine.

    But now I am wondering how do I get rid of this?

    Hi everyone,

    The issue was resolved in a private ticket.

    For everyone interested: the simplest solution is to unassign taxonomies from media library at Settings > Media > Media Taxonomies (tab). See Configuration. All plugin options items 9 and 15.

    For those who need a coding solution:

    function dbj_remove_taxonomies()
    /* Remove Media customization */
    unregister_taxonomy_for_object_type( 'category', 'attachment');
    unregister_taxonomy_for_object_type( 'post_tag', 'attachment' );
    unregister_taxonomy_for_object_type( 'jetpack-portfolio-type', 'attachment' ) ;
    unregister_taxonomy_for_object_type( 'jetpack-portfolio-tag', 'attachment' ) ;
    add_action( 'wp_loaded', 'dbj_remove_taxonomies', 12 );

    This one unassign 4 taxonomies previously assigned to media library: Post Categories, Post Tags, Jetpack Project Tags and Jetpack Project Types.
