[Resolved] how to remove prefix text when viewing categories pages

  • Hi
I am trying to remove the prefix “Archive by category” in the trail when viewing a category page… same would be for tags (though I am not using that taxonomy so it is not an issue at the moment).

I looked for the term “Archive by category” throughout the whole code of the plugin to adjust the wording (actually I just want to remove it) but could not find it

I tried disabling “Post Hierarchy Display” in the post types settings but nothing happens 🙁
Can you help me with this? It should not be so difficult once found the line in the code 🙁
    Thanks so much

The site is still under maintenance… but I would like to solve it the sooner

What version of Breadcrumb NavXT are you using? The “Archive by category” phrase hasn’t existed since version 4.0 when the plugin switched from prefixes and suffixes to breadcrumb templates. If that phrase was showing up it should be in one of the options available for modification within the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page.

Your answer made me think that maybe it was the theme overriding the setting… indeed it was!!! I had changed the code only in the theme page.php forgot to do the same on category.php and all the other subpages templates 🙂
I did that and now it works perfectly!!!
Sorry I have bothered!!!! your plugin is AMAZING!!!! 10 stars 🙂
