    Hi,

I’m having a problem as ‘Novelty’ the commercial theme I purchased and built my site around uses ‘Aqua Page Builder’, built into the theme. Since updating to WordPress 3.9 the text function of page builder has someohow changed to some sort of code only template, without all of the usual ease of use functionality like text colour etc, and I can only see what I then type/choose as code.

The Theme developer has mysteriously disappeared, so I can’t get any support there, and because I don’t use the page builder as a seperate plugin, I can’t get support from them.

I would like to remove built in ‘Aqua Page Builder’ from my theme and then install the plug in directly. Is this possible?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Ben

I’m sorry but the wordpress.org support forums are meant for the core application, themes and plugins that are distributed on wordpress.org. We do not support themes downloaded from elsewhere.

    Hi Esmi

Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that is no help to me.

    WordPress official guidlines state that:

‘If you use a commercial theme or plugin and need support, please go to their official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations. Doing this will provide the developer with the income they need to make WordPress awesome.’

If my developer has dissappeared then I can’t possibly do this. It’s not much of a community if you are going to leave me stranded in this way. The post you directed me towards for advice was my own, so unfortunately doesn’t have the answer, only the question.

I am sorry that you have had a poor experience with this theme but we do not have access to commercial themes. Also, the wordpress.org support forums are meant for the core application, themes that are distributed on wordpress.org – not themes downloaded from elsewhere. It is not our place to keep theme vendors in business. At this point all I can suggest is that you consider hiring someone to look at this for you.

    Thanks Esmi,

I appreciate what you are saying.

However, the issue is not to do with the theme as such, but to do with a Plug-in that is not commercial, and available through wordpress.org. If I could somehow be put in contact with them, they may know why Aqua Page Builder has had an issue with the recent update of WordPress to 3.9. This may have nothing to do with my commercial theme, but because the plug in was packaged with the theme I am now without any support whatsoever, either from the Aqua Plugin Developer or you, because everyone wants to pass the support buck to someone else.

I can consider hiring someone, but that isn’t going to help me if I have ongoing issues. The reason I want to remove the plugin from the Novelty Theme is so I can use the wordpress.org plug in separately and continue to get the support.

The plugin you are referring is, apparently, part of your commercial theme. These forums do not support commercial themes.

If you wish to contact the plugin developer directly, try posting in http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/aqua-page-builder
