Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » How to Remove Footer Nav and Using Infinite Scroll

  • Resolved dareadel

    I am using the pro version and I am the photo view as the home page. With that, I am trying to accomplish two things neither of which is working:

    1) I installed the infinite scroll plugin but it’s not working. Here is from my settings:
    – Nav: .archive-pagination
    – Selector: .archive-pagination .pagination-next
    – Item: .archive-pagination .pagination-next
    – Content: .content

    I tried other selectors like #tribe-events-content a and a.tribe_paged but none works.

    2) I tried to remove the footer navigations but no luck either. Here is my code:

    if( tribe_is_event('photo') && is_archive() ) {
    remove_action('tribe_events_before_footer_nav' );
    remove_action( 'tribe_events_after_footer_nav' );

    Sorry for the long story but I will appreciate some help.

    Hey @h2ofilters,

    First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
    We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual.

    Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
    We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide support for integration with other plugins or customizations.

    With that in mind, you are more than welcome to browse our premium forums at

    Also, since you are Pro version user, I would highly recommend using our premium support forums for faster support:

    Circling back to your question, I personally use Ajax Pagination and Infinite Scroll over Infinite Scroll. But, I would recommend not using it on the photo view since you might have a hard time controlling the layout of that view in that context. You will be better off using it on something like the list view IMHO.

    In any case, here are some selectors to get you started
    .tribe-events-loop , .type-tribe_events , .tribe-events-sub-nav , .tribe-events-nav-next a.tribe_paged

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hey there! This thread has been inactive for a while so we’re going to go ahead and mark it Resolved. Please feel free to open a new thread if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help. 🙂

    Courtney 🙂

    Thank you Geoff and Courtney. Sorry I didn’t return to the post. I didn’t receive any notifications when a reply was posted. Yes, please mark as resolved.

    But as for whether I can go to the premium forum, I wasn’t sure, though we have several plugins of the pro version, and we thought we couldn’t use the forum. We will try that option next time. Thanks again!
