• There is some kind of glitch on my edit page – a wordpress tagline: “Thank you for creating with WordPress” floats across the entire bottom half of my edit box. It extends outside of the text box, but floats in the one spot within the box, regardless of how I scroll the page. I’ve restarted my laptop (Mac PB, osx lion) but to no avail. Any suggestions for removing it would be most welcome, thank you.

  • Have you tried deactivating all your plugins? Does it happen on other computers or when you are not logged in? Can you post a link to your site?

I don’t have any plugins, and it doesn’t show up on the published post, only within the edit page. I’ts like a floating ad for wordpress OVER my text box, so is in the way. Haven’t tried from another computer – I work at home, but will do. Meanwhile, any other suggetions? Thank you.

Does it happen with the default theme active? (twentyeleven or twentytwelve). Also be sure you’ve cleared any caches on your browser, server or site.

How would I check with the default theme? I’m using CleanR theme now. Just cleared cache again, nothing. Already tried that in the beginning.

Switch to one of those themes and deactivate all your plugins.

This is my work website – just can’t take that risk, esp. with how messy wp can get if something goes wrong. Thank you for your help, but perhaps someone else has another suggestion?
