Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » How to Remove Feature Image from top of event

    When I add a featured image to an event, and view the event my image is the 1st thing I see when I open my event, and it looks awful. I want the feature image associated with my event but I don’t want it loaded when I open the event to register. How do I remove it from the event details but keep it as a feature image.

  • Hi tabyfaye,

    That should be fairly straightforward – check out our Themer’s Guide for the basics but essentially you would override and customize single-event.php and strip out the following line:

    <?php echo tribe_event_featured_image(); ?>

    Hope that helps!

    Which one. I found ~5 different single_event.php in various folders in The Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro?

    @tabyfaye: check out the Themer’s Guide which explains this in more detail.

    We’re happy to point people in the right direction if we can, but one-on-one support for making customizations like this one realistically isn’t something we can offer here on the free support forum, I hope that is understandable.

    Thanks – and good luck!

    (If you purchased Events Calendar PRO please remember you are more than welcome to post on the PRO forum and we can certainly offer you more support there – thanks!).
