    Hi rawvolta,

If you’re backing up to our online vault, you need to delete the encrypted data from the vault. Visit wordpress.backup-technology.com, login, and request deletion.

Encryption for existing backups on our vault can’t be changed, so it needs to be removed and new backups done to use new keys,

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Jason,

    Thank you for responding!
No, I’m doing my manual downloads. And I truly would just like to go back to the unencrypted version of the plugin..Is there a way?

    Thank you!

    hi Jason
same here, just received the .zip.enc file on the specified email address as expected, and i’d like to decrypt (then unzip) it locally on my machine: is there’s a way/software to use?

    HI maxgx,

Currently the only way is to use the plugin to remove the encryption. So in case of lost website you’d reinstall a fresh WordPress, install the plugin, then decrypt your backup. You can then overwrite everything when restoring.

    Regards,

    Jason
