Support » Fixing WordPress » How to remove debug notices from WP dashboard?

  • Could someone help me remove the Notices appearing in WP dashboard:

    with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0.0! Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead. in /home/freelanc/public_html/mywebsite.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3891

    The notices only appeared after a pluign author told me to wp_config.php to debug “true” to troubleshoot a problem. There are no errors.

    If this belongs in another forum please notify me. Thanks.

    try turning off debug in your wp-config.php.

    Look for this line:
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );

    Change it to:
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false );

    I swear that I had turned it to “false” after the troubleshooting but I went back in and it was still “true”. Thanks.
