Support » Plugin: Gutenberg » How to remove band from top and bottom of main site area?

    At the top and bottom of my page is a band or gap between the top block and the header, and the bottom block and the footer.

    On my page, it’s white, the background color of the site.

    Is it possible to remove this? The div parameters are:
    class="site-inner" style="margin-top: 70px;"

    I’ve tried changing that “margin-top” value to 0, but nothing happened.

    Any input on how to remove the gaps between the header/first block and footer/last block would be appreciated.

    thx

  • I also tried to delete it on my page https://redinternauta.com but it was impossible for me to delete it. Is there a way to do it?

    @memerunner This looks like it’s part of the theme you’re using rather than something to do with Gutenberg. The margin-top isn’t responsible, the gap is caused by padding added to site-inner via a stylesheet.

    You could override it in the Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS screen using a rule like:

    .site-container .site-inner {
      padding: 0;
    }
