    Hi guys,

    My website is http://www.simplesimons.ie

    I'd like to remove the grey background to make my website appear fullscreen.

    Anyone able to solve?

    Many thanks in advance.

  2. Hey.

    Firstly, you need to create a child theme. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes.

    An alternative to creating a child theme is to install a custom CSS plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=custom+css.

    In your child theme's style.css file, or in your custom CSS editor, add the following CSS snippet:

    body.custom-background, .wrapper {
    background: #fff;

    This will remove the grey background, leaving it white instead. You'll notice your main content area will be left with a shadow effect on its outer edges. To remove this effect, you can use the following CSS:

    .body_wrapper {
    box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px);
    -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px;
    -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px;

    thanks so much siobhyb :) You're an angel.

    I think creating a child theme is beyond my ability right now so I'm gonna try the custom CSS plugin.

    Really appreciate your help

    Thank you

    would you have any idea how to remove the Read more button from the homepage? :)

  6. I actually can't download your theme to figure this out as it is a premium theme and I would have to pay. Please refer to you theme provider's support channel: http://www.inkthemes.com/community/forums/local-business-wordpress-theme.25/

    You should be able to get help from there. :)
