    Hello!
    I’m currently using the Graphene theme and have created a dropdown menu (from the navigation bar) The menu is made out of categories. When I click on one of the categories, it says “Category Archive: For Whatever Category.” I don’t like how this is showing and I’m curious of any ways to remove it. Thanks for any help in advanced!

    It would most likely be in the archive.php file in your theme.

    How would I access this file.

    Via FTP or the theme editor in the admin panel. Be sure to make a backup copy before you change anything.

    Actually, much of what appears on the Archive page can be styled using Graphene’s custom CSS feature or a child theme. There is no need to hack into the theme’s core files. (Such hacks will be overridden at the next update.)

    Try this tutorial for a way to alter archive pages via CSS:

    Thanks for the article. However, it doesn’t tell me how to remove the archive box, just change the color of it which I already know how to do. If anyone has a custom css that I can add to my site would be great! Please help!

    Do you mean the actual text “Category Archive: For Whatever Category”?

    If you want to hide that text, you can add this to custom CSS:

    .archive h1.page-title {display:none;}

    If you want to change the text to say something else, you will need a custom function. There are instructions for that on the Graphene forum:

    Thanks! The custom CSS tip worked.
