    Hi there,

I have the link library plug-in installed on my self hosted site. I just ran the latest update and after a minute or so my site was still showing the maintenance warning so I logged into Cpannel and deleted the .maintenance file. I might have been too impatient because now the everything link library has vanished from my dashboard and the pages that were using it are broken.

I tried to re-install the plug-in from the plug-in page but I get the error “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.”

Do I just need to delete the wp-contenct > plugins > link-library folder and re-install it? If I do that will I lose my links or are they stored somewhere else?

    Thanks

All plugin data is stored in the database, so you can safely delete the wp-content > plugins > link-library folder, then reinstall the plugin from the WordPress admin pages or by downloading the plugin code as a zip file and extracting it to the correct location.

Please let me know if you’re able to get your site back up and running and consider donating to support this plugin’s development.
