How to reinstall a deleted wordpress website using mySQL

    My wordpress site got hacked recently. As a result, all my wordpress directories and files were cleared from my public_html.

    However, I could only retrieve my mySQL database and users still intact. However, it seems when I try reinstalling wordpress and editing the “wp-config.php” to map to the database, it appears as a fresh install.

    What do I do?

    Make sure that your wp-config.php file is referencing the correct database, including the table prefix. Lots of folks forget about the table prefix. 🙂
