Hi, how do I recreate the default home page layout that comes when you first install Sela? I may have deleted or edited it but now I found a nice image I’d like to use for that layout. Thank you!

There isn’t really a default layout with Sela – when you install it, it displays as the homepage either your latest posts, or a static page, depending on what your site settings were.

I see that your site is currently set to a static page. If you’d like to apply Sela’s custom front page template to it, you can select it from the Page Attributes box on that page, in the editor:

Let me know how it goes or whether I’ve misunderstood what you’re trying to do.

I tried that but here’s how it looked like > http://www.likelovehelp.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Screenshot-2015-04-25-07.55.51.png

    – it made the text smaller
    – it removed the bullets formatting in my text
    – the text box is the same width as the image, which is not the case in the original demo
    – the three “areas” where i could put an image and content per area is not there (although i can probably add this through pagebuilder? or i may be mistaken)

Thanks for the screenshot. Something definitely doesn’t look right there.

I wasn’t able to replicate this problem on my test site running Sela with Jetpack.

Could you try again, this time with just a short paragraph?

You might also want to temporarily deactivating all your plugins to make sure nothing is interfering with the layout. If everything looks normal, reactivate them one by one until you find the culprit.

You may be refering to Sela’s front-page widget areas, which you should be able to see under Appearance > Widgets, marked First Front Page Widget Area, Second Front Page Widget Area, and Third Front Page Widget Area.

You can learn more about how to set up Sela here:

Kathryn, I’ve the same problem with “the three “areas” “…
I suspect that they’re not still but are the abstract of the last 3 posts? But, same, I can’t manage to make them appear.

Besides, In the default widget area you mention, I don’t have the “image” option.. Only text. Why? There is in the WP online, but when installed in my ftp hosting, there is not anymore. 😕

    thanx

domitillabeehond – could you please start a new thread for this issue and provide a link to your site so I can take a look directly?

I don’t have the “image” option.. Only text. Why?

I’m not sure what you mean by this – in your new thread could you explain in more detail what you mean by the “image option”?

    Thanks!
